JAMMU, Aug 24: The State Finance Department has ordered revision of Rate of Interest on General Provident Fund and other similar funds for the second quarter of current financial year.
According to an order in this regard, these funds shall carry interest at the rate of 7.8 percent for the quarter, July 2017 to September 30, 2017.
The revision has been ordered in pursuant to the notification issued by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
