JAMMU, May 23: Range Police Headquarters, Jammu today organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2016-17 at DPL here and donated 19 wheel-chairs to physically challenged persons of district Jammu.
The main objective of donating wheel chairs to physically challenged persons was to instil confidence among them. Wheel chairs are highly beneficial for the physically challenged persons of the area, as these provide a sense of comfort, mobility, independence and freedom and also gain access to their lifestyle which they wished for and they may realize that they are not less than any other normal human being.
The wheel chairs were donated through Sunil Gupta-IPS, SSP Jammu accompanied by Rajnish Pran, SSP SO to DIG JSK Range Jammu, R C Kotwal, SP Hqrs. Jammu, Parshotam Sharma, DDP RPHQ Jammu, Karanjit Singh, DYSP DSB Jammu, Bishan Dass PS to DIG JSK Jammu besides the officers/officials of District Police Lines, Jammu and representative of civil society.
