JAMMU, May 5: MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa here today started the up-gradation work of various lanes and drains in Shanker Nagar, Ward 49.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the MLA said that development at the grassroots level remains his top priority.
He further stated that the ongoing works under Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) are being executed with a focus on quality and timely completion.
Highlighting the issue of water scarcity raised by locals, the MLA said that immediate directions have been issued and a long-term solution will also be worked out to ensure regular water supply in the area.
The programme was attended by BJP Mandal president, Surjeet Singh along with his team including Soudhagar, Dilbhag Singh, Surjit Singh, Ravi Singh, Bachan Singh, Prem Singh, Shiv Kumar, Sewa Ram, Santokh Ram, Amit Gupta, Mohinder Sharma and Sajan Gupta.
Officials from JMC including the concerned JE and Supervisor were also present on the occasion along with the contractor responsible for the project.
The project is being executed under the supervision of JMC.
