JAMMU, May 25: Senior BJP leader and MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa today fulfilled the long pending demand of local residents by inaugurating lane and drain construction work worth Rs 40 lakh in Sector-11, Ward No. 44, Nanak Nagar.
The developmental work was started in the presence of Mandal president, Rahul Kumar and senior party leader Surjeet Singh along with team members Daljeet Singh, Bhushan Verma, Satvir Singh, Aman Goswami, Rajesh, Vishal Gupta, Nitish Nanda and Tejinder Singh. A large number of local residents and party workers gathered on the occasion and expressed gratitude to the MLA for addressing their genuine demand which had been pending for a long time.
Officials from Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) including JE Vishal Kotwal and the concerned contractor were also present during the inauguration and assured timely completion of the work with proper quality standards.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that development and public welfare remain his top priorities and every effort is being made to improve civic infrastructure across all wards of the constituency. He stated that proper lanes and drainage facilities are essential for better sanitation, connectivity and public convenience.
He further said that he is committed towards ensuring equal development in every area of the constituency and no genuine public issue will be ignored. He assured the residents that all pending developmental works and civic problems will continue to be addressed on priority basis.
The local residents thanked the MLA for personally taking up the issue and initiating the much-needed development work, stating that the project will greatly benefit the people of the area and resolve long-standing problems faced by them.
