Randhawa kick-starts construction of temple kitchen

JAMMU, Mar 17: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vikram Randhawa along with Councilor Jyoti Devi, kick-started the construction of kitchen at Shiv Temple at Ward No-53, Sector-3, Trikuta Nagar, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that it was a long pending demand of the local residents as there was no kitchen in the premises of the temple and the devotees intending to organize langars were facing many difficulties.
He said that the issue was brought to his notice earlier and an amount of Rs 5 lakh was sanctioned from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and the construction work has finally started today.
He also assured the people that all other pending demands of the area would be fulfilled soon as BJP Govt is committed for all round development of the city of temples.
He said that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented development under the present regime and due focus has been given to hamlets which were ignored during the previous regimes.
He also directed the officials to ensure the quality of work for better durability of the undergoing projects in the area.
The people appreciated the role of the former MLC in carrying out development in the area and addressing people’s grievances on priority basis.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Yash Puri, Vinay Gupta, Neeraj Puri, Jyoti Devi, Rajiv Gupta, Sham Lal, Sahil Gupta, Ramesh Chander, Sanjay, Rohin, Parerna Nanda, Rajiv Gupta and Harmeet Sodhi.
