JAMMU, Nov 12: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch Vikram Randhawa, today dedicated a newly constructed lane and drain to the residents of Ward number 70, Sector-D, Sainik Colony in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment, in the presence of Corporator Narinder Singh Jamwal.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa urged upon the people to maintain all public properties properly for their long life as the expenditure for their maintenance as well as construction is borne out of taxpayers’ money. He said that the demand for this lane and drain was brought to his notice when he was a sitting MLC and an amount of Rs 10 lakh was released out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the construction of the same.
He said that the BJP is committed for all round development of the people and the Centre has many mega projects in its kitty which will be rolled out soon for the development of the newly created Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the people that the move of the Government will benefit scores of people particularly to the unemployed youth who will get ample opportunities of employment in the UT.
The locals present on the occasion expressed their gratitude to the former MLC and extended their full support to the BJP in the coming future.
