Randhawa dedicates lane, drain to public

JAMMU, Mar 7:  Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today dedicated a lane and drain to the residents of village Khamb in R.S Pura Assembly segment.
A simple but impressive function was organized by the local residents at village Khamb in RS Pura, wherein, Ch. Vikram inaugurated the newly constructed lane and drain.
While speaking on the inaugural function Randhawa said that on the demand of the party cadres he had visited the village earlier and was shocked to see the dilapidated condition of the lanes and drains. He said that none had ever paid -any heed towards the genuine demand of the villagers. The people were forced to pass through waterlogged lanes and were living in unhygienic conditions.
“Being the Prabhari of the RS Pura district I owe the responsibility of the problems of the people” Randhawa said. The lane and drain has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh which was released by the MLC from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Randhawa said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir is committed to carry forward the slogan of the  Prime Minister, Narendra Modi “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas” to the doorsteps of the people irrespective of caste, colour and creed. He said that the taxpayers money should not be misused through poor quality works. Randhawa further assured the people that he will continue to render his services to the people of RS Pura district and will enhance his efforts to uplift the underdeveloped hamlets.
He also sought the support of the public in this endeavor.
The residents of the village assured full support to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the coming future.
Those present on the occasion include Brijeshwer Rana, Akash Chopra, Yash Paul Kumar, Anil Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Rajesh Kumar,  Ashok Choudhary, Tilak Raj, Jeet Raj, Krishan Lal and Sanjeev Kumar.
