Randhawa dedicates canopy to public

JAMMU, Sept 7: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today dedicated canopy to public at Sector-7 of Channi Himmat in Gandhi Nagar constituency in presence of Corporator, Ward No-50, Neena Gupta.
While addressing the people on the occasion, Randhawa said that it was the long pending demand of the public of the area as there was no canopy in the said park. He said that the demand was brought to his notice few months back and a Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared. He said that the canopy has been constructed at a cost of Rs 5.50 lakh which was released from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of the MLC.
While dedicating canopy to the public Randhawa said that the park is a public property and it is the duty of the local residents to keep this park neat and clean. He emphasized upon the public to carry forward the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ the dream project of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
He said that the BJP Government has mega development projects for Gandhi Nagar and some of them have been launched while others are in pipeline. “I am committed to see Gandhi Nagar as a ‘Model Constituency’, he added.
Randhawa said that BJP is the only party which has come upto the expectations of the people and will come again upto their expectations in future also. He said that many mega investment projects are in consideration for Jammu post annulment of Article 370 which will open doors for employment and development.
The officials of the Housing Board who were present on the occasion include Executive Engineer, Firdous Qazi, AEE Pooja Wazir and their team.
