JAMMU, July 24: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch Vikram Randhawa, today conducted an extensive tour to Rajiv Nagar in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment and took stock of the various problems being faced by the local residents of the area.
While visiting the suburban of Jammu city Randhawa was shocked to see that the locality is without any road connectivity. Rajiv Nagar has around 350 houses with a population of more than 1400 souls and it is without basic amenities. Randhawa was further shocked to see the sanitation and cleanliness scenario of the area. He was shocked to see people living in such an unhygienic condition.
Randhawa also took stock of the other problems and reviewed the developmental scenario of the locality. The locals raised various issues and urged Ch Vikram for their early redressal.
While addressing the locals Randhawa said that BJP is committed to the upliftment of the underprivileged people and underdeveloped hamlets for the all-round development of the nation. He assured the locals that all their demands would be fulfilled and a proper developmental plan would be put in place so that those living in Rajiv Nagar may get all basic amenities of life. Initiating development of the locality Randhawa on the spot directed the officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) to prepare and Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of the all-weather link road to the locality which is foremost requirement.
Randhawa also urged the people of the locality to come forward and avail the benefits of various social schemes launched by the Modi Government for the poor and the underdeveloped people. The locals present on the occasion extended thanks to Vikram Randhawa for his sincere efforts in carrying out development of a suburban area.
