Randhawa announces construction of small bridge

JAMMU, Feb 20: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vikram Randhawa today conducted tour of Qasim Nagar near Bahu Fort in Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituency and announced the construction of small bridge for an unconnected hamlet.
Vikram during his visit took stock of the various developmental works and the problems being faced by the people of the area.
During the visit Randhawa came to know that a locality having more than 350 houses which on an average have population of more than 1400 souls does not have any road connectivity and the people have to cross a nallah to reach their houses.
MLC himself crossed that nallah and visited the locality to interact with the residents. The residents of the locality demanded construction of a small bridge over the nallah so that they may not face any more problems in the coming future.
He assured the people that a small bridge will be constructed over the nallah at Qasim Nagar which would bring an end to the miseries of the people.
Randhawa on the spot directed the team of the officials of the Block office to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) so that the construction of the small bridge could be started and completed well in time before the onset of the rainy season.
Others who were present on the occasion include Dalbir Singh, Subash Chander, Tarun Sharma, Amit Gupta, Ajay  Sharma and others.
