Rana terms Nagrota as pivot of Jammu’s futuristic expansion

NAGROTA Oct 22: Describing Nagrota as a pivot of futuristic expansion of the capital city, Provincial President National Conference today asked the people to gear up for realizing the vision of Nava Jammu.
“The vision of Nava Jammu is catching the imagination of people”, he said while addressing workers at Dhammi, Jagti, Seri Khurd and Bain Bajalta this afternoon, saying there is no reason why Nagrota should not see a holistic development as a satellite township in the backdrop of the capital city expanding fast.
Mr Rana who is National Conference candidate from the Nagrota Assembly Constituency said the area should have been developed since but lack of attention and imagination has deprived it of its rightful place in the map of Jammu.
“Ideally situated as gateway to Kashmir and the most revered shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, Nagrota has huge potential to grow as a potential residential and commercial destination of the Jammu region”, he said and assured the the party cadre that he will devote himself to this stupendous task in a big way and ensure holistic development of the area with active cooperation of the people.
He referred to the progressive policies of National Conference saying this is the only party that has been striving to ensure development of all the regions and promotion of various areas as per their potential. In this context, he made a mention of the developmental effort taken during the past nearly six years by Omar led Government and said the results are before the people. He said that his party believes in action rather than words and the amount of development undertaken during these years has been unparalleled.
Urging the people to strengthen the hands of National Conference leadership, Mr Rana said the Chief Minister has brought about a discernible turnaround in the overall situation with focused attention on development. He said the administration has been made accountable and transparent by introducing the revolutionary legislations like Right to Information Act and Public Services Guarantee Act. These historic measures have empowered the people in a big and given them the right to ask. “This is a huge step towards responsive administration”, he maintained.
Mr Rana urged the people to remain steadfast in their resolve to steer Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to new pinnacles of development with opportunities of progress to all, irrespective of caste, creed or colour. ‘The unity in diversity has been our unique strength and nobody would be allowed to weaken it”, he said and hoped the people will reject the reactionary and divisive forces as they have done in the past.
