POONCH, Sept 13: Member Legislative Assembly, Mendhar, Javed Rana, today called for focus on strengthening the system of skill development based education in border areas of Mendhar, terming it as a need of the hour.
While addressing a meeting of youth of Mendhar, which was chaired by MLA himself, he made them aware about different schemes being run by Government and asked them to avail full benefit of same.
He further said that border areas of Mendhar lack proper education facilities due to continuous disturbance which becomes hurdle for local youth to gain jobs.
“In such a time, need is to impart skilled development based education among youth so that they can stand on their feet and fight the ever increasing problem of unemployment”, Rana said.
He further informed the participants of the meeting that last year through Social Welfare Department, 140 youth of Mendhar were sent for skilled development courses outside State and he is again formulating the same plan.
