SAMBA, May, 30: Continuing its drive against the menace of illicit trade of liquor, District Police Samba arrested a bootlegger and recovered 30 pouches having three litres approximately of Desi distilled liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Ramgarh.
Acting on reliable information regarding the sale of illicit liquor in village Radwan and its adjoining area, a police party of PS Ramgarh arrested a person namely Joginder Kumar, son of Amarnath of Radwan Ramgarh, Samba who was selling illicit liquor to the general public at exorbitant rates to gain illegitimate profit.
A total of 30 pouches having approximately three liters of Desi distilled illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of accused person.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 44/2021 U/S 48 Excise Act registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
