Ramdev asks Govt to put Kashmiri Hindu Shrine Bill in cold storage

JAMMU, Aug 21: Expressing satisfaction over the reports that proposed ‘Kashmiri Hindu Shrine Bill’ may not be introduced in the forthcoming Assembly session due to technical reasons, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev of Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust has suggested that the controversial Bill should be put into cold storage for ever.
“I appeal the State Government not to make any attempt of getting this controversial bill passed in the House in near future also,” he said in a press statement.
The Yoga Guru also warned to launch a nationwide agitation opposing the proposed Bill tooth and nail if the Government does not listen to his suggestion.
Pertinent to mention that the Excelsior in its report had quoted the Law Secretary, according to whom meeting of Joint Select Committee of the House was not possible in near future and therefore the proposed Bill was unlikely to be introduced in the Assembly session, commencing from August 25.
Terming the proposed legislation un-constitutional and anti-Hindus, Baba Ramdev asked the people, particularly media, to go through the Bill and understand the hidden design of dividing Hindu community.
He also appealed the Government to retrieve those Hindu shrines, which have been occupied by the people in Valley and provide security to such religious places, where the same is required.
