Ram Navami Shobha Yatra to be taken out today

JAMMU, Apr 4: As the Ram Navami falls on Sunday (Apr 6), the grand Shobha Yatra in connection with the festival will be taken out a day before the occasion i .e . on April 5.
This was informed by Parshotam Dadhichi, President of Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha Jammu and Kashmir Province, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“As Sunday is a holiday, all the markets and business establishments will remain closed, hence after consultation with all the religious and social institutions, it has been decided that a grand Shobha Yatra should be taken out on Saturday, 5th April 2025 on the eve of Shri Ram Navami,” he said.
Parshotam Dadhichi elaborated that grand chariot of Lord Ram will be taken out from Shri Sanatan Dharma Natak Samaj Deewan Temple at 2:00 pm and on reaching at Shri Geeta Bhawan Parade, Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Devansh Yadav will worship the idol of Lord Ram seated in this chariot, at 3 PM.
Thereafter, this chariot will reach Shree Raghunath ji temple from where grand Shobha Yatra will be taken out in collaboration with J&K Dharmarth Trust. The Shobha Yatra will pass through Veer Marg, City Chowk, Rajendra Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, Old Hospital Road, Purani Mandi Link Road Jain Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Pakka Danga, Moti Bazaar and culminate at Raghunath Ji Temple.
Parshotam Dadhichi appealed people to actively participate in the Shobha Yatra and seek blessings of Lord Rama. He also appealed to all the religious organizations and market associations to contribute their full support & efforts to make the procession more successful by decorating the markets, welcome the Shobha Yatra, shower flowers and participate in the procession in maximum numbers.
Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha, Working President Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Vice President, Arun Gupta, Vice President Shakti Datt Sharma, General Secretary Sanjay Gupta, Treasurer Anil Kumar Magotra, Office Secretary Vijay Sharma, Jt Secretary Atma Ram Sagar, Publicity Secretary Dilip Gupta, Jt Treasurer Ashok Mahajan and others were present in the press conference.
Meanwhile, president of J&K Dharmarth Trust, Dr Parshotam Singh Pathania, also addressed a separate press conference for sharing the information that Rath Yatra will be taken out on eve of Ram Navami. The traditional Shobha Yatra will be taken out in collaboration with Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, he said. Ashok Kumar Sharma – Secretary Dharmarth Trust, Anil Sharma- President Dharmik Yuvak Mandal and Nischal Anand- Treasurer Dharmik Yuvak Mandal were also present in the press conference.
