NEW DELHI : The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for 30 minutes, till 0935 hrs after the House paid tributes to Karnataka MP Ashok Gasti, who passed away late on Thursday.
“I refer with profound sorrow to the passing away of Ashok Gasti, who was a sitting member of this House from Karnataka. The country has lost an able parliamentarian,” Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said before adjourning the House.
Gasti, the siting BJP Rajya Sabha Member, succumbed to COVID-19 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Mr Sanjay Raut has given Zero Hour notice over farmers’ agitation.
CPI(M) MP Mr KK Ragesh has given Zero Hour notice over non-payment of GST compensation to states. (AGENCIES)
