JAMMU, July 17: Shri Amar Kashatriya Rajput Sabha has expressed strong resentment against the State Government for not declaring Gazetted Holiday on ‘birth anniversary of Late Maharaja Hari Singh and warned an agitation over the issue.
General Council of the Sabha, which met here yesterday under the chairmanship of Naryan Singh (president of the Sabha, reminded the State Government that Upper House of the State Legislative had passed a resolution for declaring Gazetted holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh but no further action was initiated in this regard.
“Rajput Sabha demands that the State Government must concede this demand at the earliest failing which, people would be on streets and the sole responsibility for the trouble would be on State Government,” the meet stressed.
Earlier, General Council Meeting, which was attended by all the members, Advisors to the Sabha and Special Invitees, approved the Income and Expenditure Accounts for the year 2016-17 of Shri Amar Kshatriya Sabha Charitable Trust and Shri Amar Kshatriya Sabha Educational and Charitable Trust. The meet also approved budget estimates for the year 2017-18 in respect of both the Trusts.
The General Council Members were also made aware that financial assistance amounting to Rs 1,78,200.00 was made to 92 Widows and similarly scholarship amounting to Rs 1,70,500 was distributed among 45 candidates approved for the same by the Sabha.

Educational and Charitable Trust; M S Jamwal, M S Katoch, Capt Inder Singh Sambyal (District president Rajput Sabha Samba), Kartar Singh Jasrotia (District Rajput Sabha president Kathua), Raj Kumar, Tehsil president Billawar, Jagdish Singh Sangwl, Capt. Arjun Singh, Sub Maj Kulbeer Singh Bandral, Sub Maj Kabia Singh, Surinder Singh Chib, R S Pura, Capt Balwan Singh Charak, Pawan Singh and others.
