JAMMU, Feb 9: Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, Jammu & Kashmir, appointed Amar Deep Singh as the new District President of Rajput Sabha, Samba, during a meeting held at Raj Tilak Bhawan, Purani Mandi, Jammu.
The decision was taken after Capt Inder Singh Sambyal, who has been serving as District President, Samba, expressed his inability to continue in the post due to old age. The meeting was attended by prominent members of the Rajput Biradari from Samba and adjoining areas, besides members of the central executive committee of the Sabha.
After detailed deliberations, Amar Deep Singh’s name was unanimously proposed and seconded by the members. Capt Inder Singh Sambyal also recommended Amar deep Singh’s name, which was unanimously approved by the house.
The Sabha also announced Arun Singh as the District President (Youth Wing) of Rajput Sabha, Samba, to strengthen youth participation in organisational activities.
Addressing the gathering, Bishan Singh Jamwal, President of Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, J&K (UT), announced that Capt Sambyal will continue to serve the organisation as Chairman of the District Sabha, Samba.
Chairman of Rajput Sabha Trust, Narayan Singh advised Amar Deep Singh to constitute his team with the approval of the Central Sabha. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Mangleshwar Singh, General Secretary of the Sabha.
Prominent members present on the occasion included Vice President Jagdish Singh; Rtd Chief Engineer Mohinder Singh; Rtd Deputy Commissioner B S Jamwal; district presidents Kartar Singh Jasrotia (Kathua), Karan Dev Singh (Ramban), Balbir Singh Manhas (Jammu Rural), Arjun Singh (Udhampur-Reasi), Raj Kumar (Billawar) and Capt Kulbir Singh (Peoni-Majalta); besides Narinder Singh Anthal, Sukhdev Singh (Secretary) and Nand Lal Rana (President, Chenani).
