JAMMU, Sept 22: In connection with the birth anniversary celebration of Maharaja Hari Singh, Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Jammu Kashmir unit is going to organize a grand Mela at Ban Talab Thatthar on Saturday.
This was informed by president of the J&K unit of the Rajput Karni Sena, while talking to media persons, here today.
He explained that the Karni Sena has decided not to take out a rally on the occasion for avoiding inconvenience to general public as it was seen last year when an ambulance had stuck in congestion because of the rally, which led to death of the patient.
“Moreover, objective of organizing rallies on the occasion earlier was to press for public holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh. Since our demand in this connection has been fulfilled by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, there is no fun of organizing the rally,” he explained.
The Karni Sena president said that all arrangements have been made for the grand Mela, which will have fun carnival games and activities for kids besides various stalls, including Dogra food.
He extended an open invitation to all the people for visiting the Mela and make it a grand success in honour of Maharaja Hari Singh on his birth anniversary.
