RAJOURI, Feb 6: Teachers and other staff in various Government educational institutions in Rajouri district are without pay for the last two months.
The employees are not getting their salary owing to retirement of Chief Education Officer (CEO) on December 31 and no appointment of new CEO while the Government is also not empowering the District Planning Officer Rajouri for release of salary grant of various schools.
Tanveer Shawl, district president of Jammu and Kashmir State Teachers Association, Rajouri, has appealed the Government to empower the District Planning Officer (Acting CEO) for release of salary till appointment of new CEO.
