Rajouri people send 20 trucks relief to Valley

RAJOURI, Sept 17: People from Rajouri including traders and social activists from all communities contributed a lot for the Kashmir flood victims and send 20 trucks/ mini-trucks loaded with relief material to Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Jatinder Kumar Singh and SSP, Mubassar Latiffi flagged off the vehicles on the request of public. A group of persons from the Rajouri town including Rameshwar Singh, Manzoor Malik, Tinu Dutta, Zaheer Choudhary, Tariq Kadak, Avinash Jasyal, Raja Bhat and Javed Mir with the support of people of Rajouri, launched vigorous campaign and managed huge relief material in terms of cash and items of daily use.
They prepared 1800 bags, containing ration (rice, Atta, pulses, sugar), powder milk, tea, medicines etc and loaded in the vehicles. They also send 1800 blankets 12,000 bottles of mineral water. They claimed that the rural and semi-urban affected areas of Kashmir which have remained unattended would be covered by them. The people also said that it was first consignment and some more would be sent including parts of Poonch district. The District Administration highly appreciated the gesture of Rajouri people.
