RAJOURI, May 15: Government Post Graduate College Rajouri organized one day workshop on Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme in the College, here today.
A large number of students from various schools and colleges, parents, officers from School and Higher Education Department and members of civil society besides faculty members of the college attended this mega event.
The programme was chaired by Anil D Saharsabudhe, Chairman All India Council for Technical Education, Delhi, whereas Prof Ajeet Angral, Nodal Officer PMSSS J&K State, Dr R K Ganju Assistant Director AICTE, Anjali Naik Director FHDAF, Pooja Sharma AGM CMAI Association of India, Jamshaid Khan, Gulshan Foundation Mumbai and Dr Javaid Ahmed Qazi, Principal Govt P G College Rajouri graced the occasion.
The event was coordinated by PM Special Scholarship Scheme Committee of Govt P G College Rajouri in which the key speakers were Prof Ajeet Angral and Dr R K Ganjoo who gave extensive and highly informative presentations and explained the minutest details regarding the scheme.
During the presentations, the students were explained about the eligibility criteria, method of filling application form, role of facilitation centres and all the future courses of action in the PMSS scheme. A question answer session was also organized in which Anjali Naik further clarified the queries and doubts of the desiring candidates.
In his presidential address, the chairman AICTE expressed his happiness over the successful holding of this mega event and encouraged the students and parents to avail of the benefit of this historic scheme which is undoubtedly going to transform the entire education scenario of J&K State in the times to come.
The event started with the welcome address of the Principal of the College Dr J A Qazi who highlighted some important features of the scheme and motivated the meritorious students to translate their career dreams into reality.
Pooja Sharma also addressed the gathering and threw light on various aspects of the scheme.
The proceedings on the dais were conducted by Prof Yasir Choudhary, coordinator of the Scheme Committee whereas Prof Supriya Gupta presented vote of thanks.
