JAMMU, Mar 31: Uday Bhanu Chib, president Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) while strongly castigating the BJP led Union Govt for the unprecedented hike in fuel prices leading to inflation has said that today people across the nation including J&K are practically bearing the brunt of the mis-governance.
He expressed this while addressing a gathering after kick-starting blacktopping work of road along with Rajni Bala Councillor Ward No. 60 at Buta Nagar Enclave in Paloura and its adjoining areas falling in Jammu North Assembly segment. The work estimated to cost Rs 37 lakh was inaugurated in the presence of Raj Singh Subedar, Udam Singh, Ajmer Singh, Dayal Singh, Nand Singh, Nasib Singh, Tarun Vaid, Sher Singh besides a large number of local residents.
While addressing on the occasion Chib said that it is because of the anti-people policies of the BJP government that people continue to suffer even with the ongoing pandemic receding now with fresh woes getting added to their miseries with each passing day. He said that during the past few days there has been a daily rise in the fuel prices that has resulted in unprecedented price rise of all the essential commodities thus causing spine breaking inflation.
Rajni Bala said that people are suffering on account of wrong policies of the government at the Centre which is resorting to blatant discrimination in executing development works in this area. She said that it is because of the discrimination against the people of this area that she stands determined to ensure its full development. “I shall see that all the works including that of lanes, drains and roads in the area get completed in a phased manner,” she said.
Councilor said that the recent Rs 50 hike in the price of LPG cylinder has made it very difficult for the women to manage the kitchen affairs especially when the prices of all the essential edible items including the vegetables have been sky rocketing regularly. She said that the incumbent government needs to be shown the door before it’s too late.
