SRINAGAR, Mar 3: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has recognized J&K Bank’s significant financial contribution towards the education of children of ex-servicemen and war widows under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
As per the statement, the Bank’s Managing Director & CEO, Amitava Chatterjee, was felicitated at the Armed Forces Flag Day CSR Conclave in New Delhi, where he was acknowledged alongside other key contributors.
During the event, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his appreciation for the support provided to soldiers and their families, highlighting the important role both the public and private sectors play in national development.
J&K Bank’s donation to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF), managed by the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) under the Ministry of Defence, helps provide welfare assistance to the families of armed forces veterans across India.
Amitava Chatterjee, MD & CEO of J&K Bank, remarked, “We believe in the transformative power of education. This contribution is a small gesture of gratitude towards our armed forces, and we are committed to supporting education and community welfare through our CSR initiatives.”
