JAMMU, Sept 4: Senior National Conference (NC) leader Rajesh Gupta has urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to issue immediate directions to the district and Divisional Administrations for expediting relief measures across Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of incessant rains and flash floods.
In his remarks to a local news channel, Gupta stressed the urgent need to restore essential services, including drinking water, electricity, healthcare and ration supplies, for the affected population. He emphasized that the administration must remain fully alert and proactive in addressing the hardships of residents, particularly in vulnerable areas prone to landslides and overflowing rivers.
Calling for collective efforts, Gupta said the safety and well-being of citizens must remain the top priority at this critical juncture. “I appeal to people to follow advisories, stay vigilant, and extend full cooperation to the administration. Together, we will overcome this challenge,” he stated.
