JAMMU, May 18: Jammu Warriors Front’s chairman, Rajesh Gupta today urged the Lieutenant Governor, GC Murmu to waive off the water and electricity bills for the next one year in view of COVID-19 outbreak in J&K.
In a statement issued here, Gupta asked the Government to come up with concrete relief measures for a larger section of the society whose livelihood has got affected due to lockdown imposed by the authorities.
He further appealed the Government to provide Rs 10000 for poor and affected middle class families. “On one hand such restrictions are the need of the hour to tackle spread of the deadly disease while on the other hand the Government should also take necessary steps to mitigate the sufferings of the people affected by this lock down,” he said.
