For those of you who frequently commute between Jammu to Kathua route, the word “Rajdhani” may not be unfamiliar.These are the high speed private buses which promise you ‘ a few stops’ and ‘saving of your time’. I am not against branding of buses as it is just a marketing strategy but the point is, these buses put the lives of people at risk. The driving speeds are above the normal.Many accidents have happened in the past due to sheer negligence of the bus driver but no concrete steps have been taken by the administration.The number of commuters have also risen and the private players have failed to cater to their needs.While JKSRTC has been making losses year after year, the private players has been looting people. I don’t understand why JKSRTC has failed to recognize this opportunity.Why can’t some Government buses ply between Jammu Kathua area when this option is financially viable and justified ? Safety is paramount and everything is below it.
