KATHUA, Feb 20: Rajbagh Police seized seven bovine animals which were being smuggled from Khanpur village falling under its jurisdiction late last night.
According to police after getting the information a team of Rajbagh Police Station led by SHO Sarabjeet Singh reached the spot wherefrom the bovine animals were being loaded in the vehicle for smuggling.
But the smugglers pelted stone on the police so more reinforcement was called and police chased the smugglers who fled in the cover of darkness. But it managed to rescue seven bovine animals and sized two vehicles.
The Rajbagh Police has registered a FIR number 38 U/S 188/336/353/279 under RPC and started further investigation.
