KATHUA Oct 1: Acting against illicit liquor, Police teams under the supervision of Inspector, Devinder Singh, SHO Rajbagh, today cracked on illicit liquor manufacturers in the area.
Police teams destroyed about 1000 litres of lahan in a series of raids conducted at different locations in village Banayari in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Rajbagh police team also seized 24 liters of illicit liquor in illegal possession of one Ganju Ram, son of Karm Chand of Banayari, Rajbagh.
Police teams also destroyed makeshift production units and seized the utensils used for manufacturing of liquor. Police registered a case FIR No 226/2018
U/S 48 (a) Excise Act against the accused and investigation taken up.
