JAIPUR, Aug 25: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said that Rajasthan ranks first in the entire country in terms of response time against crimes.
He said that the criminals are being caught by the police by revealing almost all the criminal incidents and they are being punished in minimum time. “Our Government is making every possible effort and innovation to keep the law and order strong in the State and to deal with the challenges facing it,” the CM added.
The CM said that the responsibility of maintaining law and order and providing justice to the victims rests on the shoulders of the police. Strict action like dismissal of police officers and employees is also being taken if they are found involved with criminals, he said, adding, under Mission-2030, a roadmap for the police department will be prepared for the year 2030.
Gehlot was addressing a review meeting of law and order at the police headquarters. During this, the Chief Minister flagged off 100 first response vehicles. He said that the strictest action would be taken against anti-social elements who spread communal tension. Our priority is that criminals should not get a chance to commit such crimes. He said that by December, more than 3000 CCTV cameras will be installed in the entire state under Abhay Command.
The CM said that campaigns like ‘Operation Vajra Prahar’ are being carried out by making a comprehensive action plan to control organized crimes like illegal weapons, drugs and strict action is being taken against the criminals involved in it.
Gehlot said that they have made arrangements for uninterrupted registration to provide justice to the complainants of women and weaker sections. He said Rajasthan is leading in the whole country in tracing the missing children.
He directed the officers to pay special attention to social media and monitor hate and violent content. Along with this, awareness should be created among the general public for the prevention of crimes related to cyber crime and online fraud and honey trap.
