YRS appreciates solidarity on Jammu Bandh call

JAMMU, Aug 25: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) has expressed gratitude to various bodies such as the Chamber of Commerce, Bar Association, political parties, and Biradaris for their solidarity in support of the ongoing agitation against the “illegal and unjust” toll collection at Sarore in Samba District.

The YRS, along with these entities, has called for a one-day Jammu Bandh on August 26, denouncing the Sarore Toll post on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
Dharminder Singh, a member of the Core Committee, urged citizens to observe a dawn-to-dusk bandh on August 26 to demonstrate their backing for the cause.
He vehemently criticized the detention of YRS leaders and demanded their immediate release. He questioned the legality of the activists’ arrest and criticized the secretive transfer of YRS leaders from Samba to Kathua Jail at night.
Rajinder Singh, another Core Committee member, thanked the media and the people of Duggar Pradesh for their unwavering support, stressing that they stood united against the injustices committed by the LG administration in Jammu and Kashmir.
Singh emphasized that they were united on all genuine issues affecting Jammu, regardless of caste, religion, colour, creed, or language.
Advocate Vikram Singh, YRS’s General Secretary, earnestly appealed to the people of Jammu to wholeheartedly support the planned Jammu Bandh on August 26, 2023.
He specifically called upon the drivers and office bearers of the Transport Association of Jammu to extend their support, highlighting the need to stand united against the unjust toll plaza.
