Rain, thunderstorm likely to hit J&K

JAMMU: Light to moderate rain with thunderstorm was likely at most places of J&K and at isolated places of Ladakh region during May 30 and 31, MeT Department on said on Thursday.

The weatherman further said that currently the weather was cloudy to overcast at most places of Kashmir, Jammu and  Pirpanchal area.

Jammu recorded season’s maximum 42.6 degree Celsius.

However, a brief spell of rain with thunderstorm at scattered places of J&K was also possible during May 28 and 29, the weather department further said.

There was no forecast of any continuous heavy rainfall during next seven to 10 days.

An advisory issued by the MeT department told farmers, especially orchardists to spray their fruit plants after May 31 to avoid any loses. (AGENCIES)
