SRINAGAR: Rail service in the Kashmir valley, which was suspended yesterday due to very heavy snowfall on the track at different places, resumed this morning.
There was more than two to three feet of snowfall on the track in Baramulla, south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region forcing authorities to suspend the rail run yesterday as a precautionary measure.
However, after improvement in the weather yesterday afternoon, snow clearance operation was conducted, official sources said adding that this morning the rail run was resumed between Baramulla, Srinagar, south Kashmir and Banihal after the tracks were declared safe. (AGENCIES)
