JAMMU, Mar 27: Making a fervent appeal to the women activists of the party to serve as a bridge between the public and the Government, BJP Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar, said that it is duty of every party activist to reach the masses and educate them about various schemes launched by Narendra Modi Government for the welfare and social security of the women folk.
Addressing a meeting of BJP Mahila Morcha State office bearers and district presidents here today along with BJP State general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, State vice-president Rajni Sethi, Mahila Morcha State president Purnima Sharma, former Minister and MLA Priya Sethi and senior leader Usha Choudhary, Vijaya Rahatkar said that during the last two years, Modi Government has paid special attention towards the women of the country.
She said that Beti Bachao Beti Padao, construction of toilets in rural areas and schools for the convenience of females, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Jeevan Yoti Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, provision of gas connections to poor women, have been framed with a sole motive of ensuring economic and social upliftment of the women so that they live with honour and dignity. She said that the Narendra Modi Government has not ignored any section of the society and the same is clear from the fact that welfare schemes for senior citizens, youth, farmers, poor have also been launched because our PM believes in “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas” as he is of the view that the country cannot progress and prosper if all are not taken together. She said that Mudra Bank, Skill India, Make in India are the schemes and projects aimed at making the people self dependence and promote local entrepreneurship which can solve the problem of unemployment to great extent.
She also appreciated the ten month BJP coalition in the State and said that an era of development had started in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed hope that the developmental projects and welfare schemes will be further accelerated after the formation of Government.
Ashok Koul said that although our State is different in many aspects but the role of the women in mobilising public support in favour of the party has remained splendid adding that the Mahila Morcha has been contributing in every activity of the party for which it needs appreciation.
Purnima Sharma said that the women in Jammu and Kashmir are getting associated with BJP in large numbers as they have realized that its leader and PM Narendra Modi has displayed real concern for the welfare and upliftment of the women and in return they want to strengthen the party.
