Radio Kashmir goes off air

Srinagar, Aug 27: Radio Kashmir Srinagar went off the air this evening due to technical fault for the first time since 2014 floods.
A senior official said that the Radio Kashmir Srinagar went off the air at 5.50 p.m when its transmitter in Narbal in the outskirts of Srinagar developed technical snag. The snag was not rectified till last reports.
The engineers of the Radio Kashmir failed to activate Pampore transmitter that was acting as standby. A senior official said that normally in case of technical fault the other transmitter was beaming the signal but it has failed to shift to Pampore transmitter.
