Radha Ashtami celebrated

JAMMU, Sept 9: Radha Ashtami was today celebrated with religious fervor in the premises of Radha Krishan Temple behind Shri Raghunath Ji Temple.
President, J&K Dharmarth Trust BR Kundal performed pooja in which large number of women devotees participated to celebrate the birthday of Goddess Radha.
Radha Ashtami is generally celebrated two weeks after Janamashtami. Every Hindu adorns the divine love story of Radha and Krishna. Radha is known to have been older to Krishna but she did not open her eyes till the birth of Lord Krishna was announced. The love between Radha and Krishna is immortal as it has no beginning and no end.
To celebrate the birthday of Radha and the divine love of Radha and Krishna, J&K Dharmarth Trust had made elaborate arrangements for the devotees.
On the occasion, women devotees had a special prayer for the safety and well being of their children. The children too participated in the pooja and celebrations.
Secretary, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Shashi Khajuria and other office bearers were also present on the occasion.
Later, prasad was distributed among the devotees.
