Srinagar, Mar 26: Nirupama Kaul alias Rabia Baji is contesting the forthcoming Parliamentary elections from Srinagar-Budgam constituency as an independent candidate.
Nirupama Kaul, is running an NGO, All India Centre for Urban and Rural Development (AICURD, J&K), in Srinagar.
While addressing a press conference, Kaul said that she will contest the election as an independent candidate.
“She will not contest as a leader, but, as a representative of a common people whose voice is unheard in the Parliament”, she told reporters.
Rabia will be contesting against National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah and People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Tariq Hamid Qarra.
