JAMMU, Sept 24: The Bi-annual elections of “Kashmiri Bhasha Evam Sanskriti Pratishthan” (Sampriti ), a registered organisation of displaced writers (poets), artists and linguists, which got postponed several times due to Covid-19 pandemic conditions around were conducted today under the supervision of Dr R. L. Shant as returning officer to elect a new Working Body for its smooth functioning.
The new body thus elected comprise of Rattan Lal Jowhar as president, Tej Sagar as vice- president , Satish Safeer as secretary , Ashok Kaul as cashier , Kusum Dhar ‘Sharda’ as publicity secretary.
Besides, three Executive members were also nominated as per constitution namely Dr. Rattan Talashi , Dr R L Bhat and Dr Roshan Saraf.
Prior to this the old Working Body presented its activities report of their tenure in brief which was appreciated by all.
A poetic symposium was also held on this occasion in which galaxy of poets including P N Shad, Ashok Gowhar, Dilshad Mohan, Bimla Aima, Bal Krishen Sanyasi, Engineer Vinod, Rajender Agosh, Dr Ramesh Nirash, A K Zadu, Dolly Tiku Arwal etc participated.
Secretary, Satish Safeer at the end paid vote of thanks.
