SRINAGAR, Feb 5: The J&K Bank has provided significant relief to the families of deceased borrowers in its Srinagar Zone by swiftly settling insurance claims under its MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) product.
As per a statement, a total of Rs 1.53 crore was disbursed to 48 families, helping them manage their financial burden during difficult times.
The symbolic cheque for the disbursed amount was presented at a ceremony by J&K Bank’s Zonal Head (Srinagar) Raja Zaffer Khan, alongside Irfan Ali Zargar, Associate Director and Head of PNB MetLife.
The event, held at the bank’s Srinagar Zonal Office, was attended by various senior officials from both the bank and PNB MetLife, including Cluster Heads, Credit Heads, and other key representatives.
Claimants expressed their gratitude, thanking both J&K Bank and its insurance partner for the prompt settlement.
“We are thankful for the insurance coverage, which has eased our financial difficulties,” said one of the claimants.
Bank’s Zonal Head Raja Zaffer Khan emphasized the importance of loan insurance for securing the future of borrowers’ families.
“Our partnership with PNB MetLife helps us protect our customers and reduce the financial strain on families in challenging times,” he said.
Irfan Ali Zargar, from PNB MetLife, encouraged other customers to consider loan insurance, highlighting how it can provide financial relief to families when any of the unexpected situation occurs.
