Quality education requires top priority: Wazir

JAMMU, Jan 21: Co-chairman of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu Regional Council, Rakesh Wazir today said that imparting quality education to their children should be the top priority for the society.
While speaking in a function held in connection with the Annual Day function of New Diamond Playway School at  Kanachadgal in Surinsar today, Wazir  said that the  quality education is the back bone of every society and the nation. He said the State should give top priority to the  quality education. He said our State  is still lagging behind  as far as national educational standards are concerned.
Wazir said the private sector which is providing top quality education in the recent times has attracted a big chunk of people towards it.  This sector is playing  a vital role in nation building and requires top priority and support. A major investment is also coming in this sector from private players, thereby, easing the Government burden to some extent.
He said private education through schools, colleges, Universities and other technical institutions have proved to be a boon  for the people, who can afford it.  For the past some years, education is private sector has been in the fore front in providing quality education. He appealed to the Government to provide all the facilities and help to this sector so that  more and more people may come into this field.
He also complimented the management of the school including its promoter and Principal Kewal Krishan Singh and Joginder Singh for providing the good quality education in this far flung area.
Wazir said in  coming days the Chamber  is coming up with expert committee on education which after thorough study will take up the matter with the concerned quarters.
