JAMMU, Apr 11: Raising question on the close ties of PM Modi and Adani, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress today sent Postcards to the PM seeking his explanation on the issue.
Addressing a joint press conference at PCC office today, All India Youth Congress general secretary In-charge J&K Jagdev Gaga and IYC secretary In-charge J&K Navneet Kaur and  and PYC president Uday Bhanu Chib, Anirudh Sawhney, Sahil Singh Langeh, Divyansh Jamwal and Akash Bharat said that they have sent post cards to PM Modi to raise some crucial questions to the government.
IYC general secretary Jagdev Gaga said that as the elected representatives in the country and opposition leaders have not been allowed to voice the genuine concerns of the public in the Parliament or elsewhere, the Youth Congress leaders decided to send open postcards to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to raise some important questions which need to be answered by the government.
“We want to ask the Prime Minister three major questions directly. How many crores of funds has Adani given to BJP till now? How many contracts did Adani win following PM Modi’s official foreign visits? And, what was the formula for PM Modi’s “Best Friend” going from rank 609 in the world to the 2nd wealthiest person in the world in a time span of 8 years?’, Gaga said.
How much benefit was accorded to Adani companies? How much else Adani gained from this high-flying association with the PM is a matter of high public interest? We demand answers from the country’s Prime Minister and the government on how the Adani Group is being favoured at the cost of the welfare of the common people.
JKPYC president Uday Bhanu Chib talked to the media stating that it was high time the government is challenged and questioned on the misuse of power by the BJP. Under the BJP, no one is allowed to ask questions. There is an ongoing attempt by the BJP to suppress even the voices of our elected Members of Parliament and since the BJP will not allow our political leaders to speak up, we will raise our voice as the citizens of this democratic nation.
IYC secretary Navneet Kaur said the rich are getting richer under Modi Government’s shady policies. Huge benefits in the form of contracts for infrastructural and other projects are being awarded to the Adani Group by the government. The BJP wants to reap political benefits by helping their rich friends and defending them in the name of scams and frauds.
