PYC leader adopts 5-girl children on Sonia’s birthday

JAMMU, Dec 9 : President Lok Sabha Youth Congress Jammu-Poonch Constituency Satish Sharma celebrated the 67th birthday of Sonia Gandhi, president AICC in a unique manner.
To mark the occasion, he adopted five girl children among them 2 are Orphan, 2 vulnerable and 1 Physically challenged  and extended them full educational support from now onwards.  This will include their uniform, books, tution fee etc. To launch the support a function was held at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Rehari  in which large youth Congress  activists participated .
Prominent others present on the occasion included Abid Kashmiri G.S Incharge Jammu Poonch Lok Shaba, Charanjeet Singh Chiku, Rajan Sharma, Vijay Magotra Nitish Mahajan, Abishek  Kaushal Rajinder Singh and others.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Sharma highlighted the Services rendered by Sonia Gandhi to strengthen the Congress party. He called upon the youth to take a pledge on this occasion to strengthen the Congress party in line with the dreams of Rahul Gandhi who has a clear plan and strategy for both Congress and the nation.
Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra celebrated the birthday of AICC president  Sonia Gandhi with the small children of Bal Ashram . On the occasion Magotra said today in all over the country her birthday is celebrated by the party members, but he tried to celebrate in a different manner with the poor and orphan children of Bal Ashram. On the occasion books, fruits and chocalates were distributed and a small quiz  was organized.
Congress Sevadal also organized a function to celebrate birth anniversary of Sonia Gandhi. Former Minister, Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr. Vakil exhorted the party leaders to Mrs. Gandhi’s services to the nation as their own goal and follow her footsteps. Highlighting the sacrifices of Mrs. Gandhi, Vakil said Smt. Sonia Gandhi is the only leader after Late Mahatma Gandhi who sacrificed the post of Prime Minister ship.
Mr. Vakil while congratulating the Coalition Government on the success in Legislative Council elections asked party leaders and workers not to associate these elections with the coming Assembly polls of 2014. This verdict in no way should be considered as the benchmark for 2014 elections.
