JAMMU, Oct 5: Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Public Works (R&B) Department Khurshid Ahmed Shah today conducted extensive tour of Jammu to inspect progress on ongoing works.
He was accompanied by Chief Engineer R&B Jammu Nasir Goni, Executive Director JKPCC N D Khawaja, Executive Engineers of various divisions of the department and concerned Assistant Executive Engineers.
The Commissioner/Secretary toured city areas and inspected ongoing face lifting works at Raj Bhawan, Civil Secretariat, Ahata Poonch House and Ahata Amar Singh where he directed the engineering staff for early completion of all the works taken up in the hand.
He also inspected the office of PWD at Lok Nirmal Bhawan and issued instructions for cleanliness drive. He also stressed upon the implementation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan in true letter and spirit.
The Commissioner/Secretary also met a number of deputations at Lok Nirman Bhawan which include Degree Engineers Association, Daily Wagers Association and Hot Mix Plant Holders Association.
After giving patient hearing to the deputations, Khurshid Ahmed Shah assured early redressal of their grievances.
Later, he visited PMGSY Chief Engineer office and also interacted with the engineers and staff of JKPCC.
