JAMMU, June 1: Demanding regularisation policy for the workers engaged after 1994, Jammu and Kashmir PWD Casual Labourers Union held a protest.
Amid slogans in support of their demands, the protestors urged the Government to frame regularisation policy for all causal workers, who are working in the department for the past over a decade. They also demanded release of wages under proper wages head.
They also expressed anguish meted out by the previous State Government by making false promises for regularization of around 1336 casual labours working in PW(R&B) Department.
The new coalition Government formed only high power committee for the budget. There are no provisions for our welfare and neither any steps are taken in order to meet our interests.
