JAMMU, Dec 6: A deputation of Private Schools along with the Executive members of central body of J &K Private Schools Association, called on Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu.
Deputation highlighted the issue pertaining to the recognition / permission of Private schools functioning up to class 8th. While discussing the matter, they said that although managements of the most of the schools functioning in Jammu and its adjoining areas have submitted files after fulfilling all norms and conditions, till date most of the private schools are deprived of recognition / permission/ extension.
Members present in the meeting urged the DSE to adopt the same criteria which was adopted by previous Director in which 56 schools were granted recognition / permission/extension in a single order based on the pattern adopted by the JKBOSE to grant recognition / permission/ extension to the schools functioning up to 10th and 12th standard.
While speaking, Ajay Gupta, general secretary J&K PSA, briefed that the mechanisms which was earlier adopted for granting recognition / permission/ extension has saved all low budget schools from exploitation and blackmailing.
Director listened to the members patiently and promised to mitigate grievances of the schools whose cases for the recognition / permission/ extension are pending up to class 8th as early as possible.
The members in the deputation, included Ajay Singh, Laddi Sharma, R K Koul, Vijay Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Ram Kumar, Rajesh Malhotra and Vikram.
