Pulwama attack anniversary: Tribute paid to martyred CRPF Jawans

JAMMU, Feb 14: On the 6th anniversary of the Pulwama attack, tribute were paid to the 40 CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the deadly terror strike on February 14, 2019.
In this regard, a solemn ceremony organized by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was held here today.

Vezoto Tinyi, Commandant-76 Bn, CRPF, Rajesh Kumar, Second in Command, Jai Ram Prasad, Second in Command, Girish Chandra Singh Sontiyal, Second in Command, Anil Kumar, Asstt Commandant and other Subordinate Officers / Personnel of 76 Bn attended the tribute paying program.
Dr Abhijeet Jasrotia reached the very spot where, six years ago, 40 brave CRPF soldiers laid down their lives in one of the deadliest attacks on Indian soil.
With deep reverence, he lit diyas and showered flowers at the memorial, honoring the martyrs whose sacrifice changed the course of history.
Dr Jasrotia’s words resonated with emotion. “February 14, 2019, was not just another day-it was a wound on the soul of our nation. The loss of our 40 warriors was unbearable, but their sacrifice awakened the country to the reality of terrorism and the urgent need for decisive action. This attack was a turning point that paved the way for the abrogation of Article 370.”
Remembering the supreme sacrifice of the Pulwama martyrs, J&K BJP paid floral tribute to the 40 CRPF personnel.
Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP along with Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, MLAs Adv Vijay Sharma, Rajeev Jasrotia, Satish Sharma, Darshan Singh and Dr Bharat Bhushan, former MLAs Jeevan Lal, and Kuldeep Raj, District Presidents Updesh Andotra and Gopal Krishan, former District President Gopal Mahajan and others paid floral tribute to the martyrs in Hiranagar Mandal of District Kathua.
Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta paid heartfelt tribute to the CRPF personnel.
Remembering their unparalleled valour, he said that the nation will forever remain indebted to their supreme sacrifice in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of India.
Arun Gupta, spokesperson, J&K BJP, stated that the tragic Pulwama incident in 2019, strengthened our resolve for zero tolerance towards terror related activities.
He said that February 14, 2019, was black day in Indian history when 40 brave CRPF personnel were martyred at Pulwama on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
A tribute program was also organized at Village Paloora, Rajpura Border area in Ramgarh constituency of district Samba.
The event was led by Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Jammu, Jugal Kishore, MLA Ramgarh, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Former MoS J&K Rashpal Verma, DDC Rajpura Suresh Kumar and DDC & BJP District president Samba, Asha Rani.
The ceremony marked the culmination of a month-long Akhand Jyoti dedicated to remembering the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore stated, “India will never forget the sacrifices made by its soldiers. Their courage is a symbol of our national pride and will forever inspire future generations to protect and uphold the values of our nation.”
MLA Ramgarh, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, said, “The sacrifice of our soldiers is unmatched. This day serves as a reminder of their unparalleled bravery and the need to stay united in the face of adversity. The families of the martyrs remain in our thoughts and prayers.”
Former MoS Rashpal Verma expressed, “The sacrifice of these brave hearts is a solemn chapter in our history. We honor them today and pledge to continue supporting their families.”
BJP District President Samba, Asha Rani, added, “This tribute is a testament to the indomitable spirit of our soldiers. We stand in solidarity with the families of the martyrs and salute the bravery that has kept our nation safe.”
Sajad Mushtaq Reshi, IT & Media Head, BJP Minority Morcha J&K, paid heartfelt tribute to the brave CRPF soldiers.
Remembering their supreme sacrifice, he stated, “Saluting the bravehearts of Pulwama, who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Their martyrdom will never be forgotten.”
The Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu, today observed a solemn tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack.
A ceremony was held at the District Court Complex, Jammu, where a two-minute silence was observed in remembrance of the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in service to the nation.
A heartfelt tribute was paid to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack in a program organized by a local NGO at Dak Bungalow, Doda.
The event saw the participation of civil society members, the Indian Army and the district administration. A rally carrying a 75-foot-long Tricolor was taken out to express solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
Today Rudraksha Sewa Sangathan organised ‘Shradhanjali’ programme to pay tribute to the 40 CRPF brave hearts.
Paying tribute, Rudraksha Director Virender Gupta, Mohit Sharma, Shakti Sharma, Varun Padha, Police post Incharge Bawe Lekhraj, Ajay Sharma, Amit Magotra said “Tribute to the courageous heroes we lost in Pulwama in 2019. Generations to come will never forget their sacrifice and their unwavering dedication to the nation.”
The Dramatic Club of Central University of Jammu, in collaboration with Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu, presented the patriotic stage play “Ik Panna Gumnaam” in a heartfelt tribute to the Pulwama Martyrs.
Viraj Kala Kendra staged the play’ ‘Ek Panna Gumnaam’ in the memory of Shaheed Ashfaq-Ullah Khan, Ram Parsad Bismil, Thakur Roshan Singh and Rajinder Lahiri at Central University of Jammu Auditorium.
The play was in Hindustani language and reminded the great Kakori conspiracy by the great freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for Mother India.
Today NCC Cadets of GGM Science College paid tribute to the fallen heroes of Pulwama Attack.
Under the supervision of Lt Dr Devinder Kumar Sharma (ANO), Cadets paid tribute by organizing candle march, speech and various activities.
Dr Vandana Khajuria (In charge Principal) remarked that we should never forget the supreme sacrifice of our heroes who laid their lives for our better future.
Sunil Dimple, president Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir took out a strong rally against Pakistan protest rally to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama Attack.
Addressing the protestors, Dimple demanded the PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to start war with Pakistan and liberate PoJK, Gilgit and Baltistan to make it part of J&K.
