JAMMU, Dec 30: Publicity Committee meeting of Tourism Department was held here today under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Tourism, Industries and Commerce Navin Kumar Choudhary.
The meeting was attended by Director Tourism Jammu, Deepika K. Sharma; Managing Director JKSCCC, Shamim Ahmad; Director Finance, Tourism Department, Lateef Ahmad Poswal; Managing Director, JKTDC, Asgar Hussain; Additional Secretary Tourism, Gulzar Ahmad; Deputy Secretary Tourism Wasim Raja and other senior officers.
Director Tourism Kashmir Nisar Ahmad Wani and other concerned officials of the department attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting started with a review of the decisions taken in the last PCM. It discussed fresh proposals for the promotion of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism through various mediums and approved some of them.
The Principal Secretary stressed upon the officers to take necessary action on all proposals approved by the committee to ensure that an extensive promotion campaign launched by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism department is intensified further in coming months.
The committee also discussed arrangements made regarding participation of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department at “South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange” New Delhi starting from January 8, 2020, and other events scheduled in the coming months.
