LG Ladakh visits Drass valley, pays tributes at War Memorial

LEH: Dec 30: The Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur visited Drass valley today.
He was accompanied by IGP Ladakh S.S. Khandare, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Basir-ul-Haq, and OSDs to LG Ladakh.

Acting Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Agha Sayed Abbas Razvi, and SSP Kargil Dr. Vinod Kumar received Lt. Governor with other officers at Drass.
Lt. Governor was presented ceremonial Guard of Honour on his first visit to Drass valley after assuming office.
He visited the Kargil War Memorial and paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the 1999-Kargil war.
Later, various delegations of Councillors, Block Development Chairpersons, Sarpanches, Panches, Nambardars, religious and political representatives, social groups and various other organizations of the valley met LG with their representations.
Various issues taken up with LG were related to health, education, communication, tourism, irrigation, roads, water, etc.
Mathur gave a patient hearing to each delegation and assured of looking into each issue for suitable follow up.
