Pseudo secular parties ignored Pandits’ plight: AMCCC

JAMMU, Oct 22: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan Pandita has taken a  dig at the pseudo secular parties who have not uttered a word over the human rights violation of Kashmiri Pandits by the militants and secessionist elements in Valley who forced the mass exodus of this miniscule minority from Kashmir on the behest of Pakistan.
The meeting said that seven lakh Pandits are leading an exiled life for last 26 years and the successive governments at Delhi and in the State have failed to take any concrete steps for their honorable and dignified rehabilitation in their homeland in Kashmir.
Desh Rattan said that hue and cry has been raised over the attacks on other communities but no one talked about the mass exodus of the Pandits who still carve to return to their homes and hearths and for whose return the doors were closed.
Desh Rattan while taking all the political parties to task said that Pandits having no vote bank hence they are not a priority for any political party. He while commenting on return of Sahitiya Akademy awards by some writers said that they did not feel pained by the lynching of Kashmiri Pandits and cold blooded murder of Hindus minorities in hilly belts of Jammu region.
Addressing the meeting Raj Nath Dhar, Dilip Ji and K V warned that the AMCCC has decided to march New Delhi to hold massive protest at Jantar Mantar soon to highlight the problems of the displaced Pandits and expose those parties who maintained total silence over the plight of the Pandits and instead of raising voice for their rights blamed former Governor Jagmohan for mass migration to protect separatists and Pakistan.
