JAMMU, July 7: All J&K +2 PSC Lecturer’s Association, today submitted memorandums to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha seeking his intervention to redress the grievances of nation builders and fulfill the genuine and long pending demand of Career Progression.
The district units of the association submitted memorandums to Lieutenant Governor through concerned Deputy Commissioners highlighting the issue of stagnation and absence of career growth.
The Association highlighted the plight of +2 cadre, which has no financial growth in the entire service because of the absence of the benefits of MACP and which causes stagnation as there are no avenues of promotions in the department.
They explained that +2 lecturers are appointed in grade pay of 5400 and after serving 20-25 years in the department, they get retired in the grade pay of 5600 with meager enhancement of Rs 200 if and when regularized as incharge Principal.
Through the memorandum, the Association appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, Chief Secretary, Advisor Bhatnagar and Principal Secretary B K Singh to use their good office and extend the benefits of Assured Career Progression.
The district presidents who submitted memorandum at district headquarters, included Riyaz Ahmed Sohil at Ramban, Kanchan Sharma at Udhampur, Rakesh Chober at Reasi, Brijnandan Jamwal at Jammu, Swarn Singh at Samba, Raghunandan at Kathua, Shaber Hussain at Doda and Muzaffer Chowdhary at Poonch.
